Fall Bounty

Our lone "Granny Smith" tomato plant is still alive and well, and producing more firm, tart tomatoes than I have planned to use. They did, however, make a lovely addition last night to our salad, right alongside the awesome radishes I plucked from the garden.

Man oh man, do those radishes have a bite to them! I've read that the most enjoyable way to partake of a fresh-picked radish is simply with salt. I like radishes ok, I wouldn't say they're my favorite salad accessory, although I do always slice them for salads at home. I just don't see myself sitting down with a little bowl of salt and some radishes. Especially these tiny, powerful red bombs.

Soon and very soon I expect to have some turnips, chard and more radishes. Our Brussels sprouts are also growing like crazy, although there is no sign of the actual, edible sprout. At least they're pretty plants! More garden pics coming soon.
